This wasn't a problem, but it seemed like some customers mixed up the FSUIPC installation of theirs or it got corrupted, which then caused wonky LNAV/VNAV behaviour and things. They were dependant on FSUIPC before their latest versions, which means that the FMC took some FSUIPC values and features into account to generate its data. Good question, but I was referring to the CS planes, namely the 757 and 767. When you later add more hardware to your sim setup or care about so called FSUIPC offsets (cryptic phrase, huh? ), you can always get the registered version.

So perhaps install the latest free version, which automatically applies the g3d fix for example and test it. In fact, I do recall a lot of things where FSUIPC was the saviour module, so to speak. I don't recall FSUIPC causing any trouble in FSX.

The registered version then adds a million of other switches, tweaks, parameters and workarounds. Adding to his points, the later versions also allow to tweak the ground friction in FSX, which is kinda neat when you are spoiled by the unrealistic 'like on ice' feeling or wonder why, at the same time, planes can stop in a second even on wet runways.Īll of those features are available (though not really adjustable) in the free version of FSUIPC.
